We are looking for an experienced Developer with interactive web experience who thrives in a creative, idea-driven culture and has a passion for developing innovative and leading-edge online solutions, on time and on budget.
Technical Skills and Competencies:
- Strong skills in MS SQL 2005-2008, .NET 2.0, 3.0, 3.5, VB.NET, C#, XML, ASP.NET, HTML, and CSS
- Experience in the design, development and maintenance of applications using ASP.NET web framework, PHP and Javascript
- Experience developing ASP.NET Web Form using MVP
- Proficiency and experience with SQL Server and MySQL
- Ability to support and maintain existing applications
- Experience with Java server technologies, such as, JSP, Ajax
- A strong understanding of and experience with full software development lifecycle including functional and technical specification, documentation, QA processes, source control, maintenance and deployments
- A minimum of 3-5 years work experience
- Post Secondary Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related discipline

Art Director
Ariad is looking for an exceptionally talented Art Director who will play an active role in the conceptual development and execution of creative deliverables. These responsibilities include creating and communicating concepts, implementing marketing strategies and developing both print and interactive design solutions.
Reporting to the Studio Director of Creative Services, the Art Director will work with and help mentor a team of designers and production specialists. Balancing creative thinking with interpersonal skills, this person will demonstrate an ability to justify concepts to both the client and the account teams.
Responsibilities:
- Developing concepts and communicating ideas.
- Balancing strategic development with client business objectives.
- Directly contributing to project design and development:
- creating storyboards / initial graphic concepts
- conceiving functional design solutions
- creating both print and interactive design solutions.
- Providing quality assurance of creative deliverables.
- Ability to adhere to strict brand standards.
- Mentoring and coaching team members through the design process.
- Building and maintaining a rapport with the account teams and senior management.
- Contribute to the innovative development of the creative department.
Required Skills:
- Strong concept development and graphic design.
- 3+ years of graphic design education and 4+ years of print and interactive design work experience.
- Excellent understanding of typography, composition and colour theory.
- Experience mentoring a team of designers and production specialists.
- Well-developed communication skills.
- Ability to think creatively and justify concepts to clients and team members.
- Proven aptitude for quick creative thinking with acute attention to detail within demanding deadlines.
Required software knowledge:
- A solid working knowledge of Creative Suite CS4 or higher (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver).
- Ability to work with HTML and CSS.
- Understanding of Flash would be a definite asset.
