Ariad Custom Communications is committed to respecting your privacy and protecting your personal information. This Privacy Statement explains the current information management practices on our Web site and at our offices.
The handling of all personal information by Ariad Custom Communications (other than the personal information of its employees) is governed by Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). We are committed to protecting your privacy whether you are browsing for information or conducting business with Ariad.
Personal information retention
Ariad is both a Collector and a Third Party Processor of personal information for the purpose of business activities only.
As a Collector of information, we keep your information for the time we are providing you with a product or service, for a reasonable time thereafter in the event that you wish to resume service and also to meet legal record keeping requirements (for example, accounting records). Ariad collects personal information for its own use and does not share the personal information it collects without the required consent.
As a Third Party Processor of personal information Ariad retains personal information as per the timelines specified in contracts with our customers or, in lieu of that, as specified by our policies.
Privacy and security
Ariad believes that Privacy and Security work hand-in-hand to protect the best interests of our customers, employees and business partners. Ariad has implemented a combination of IT infrastructure security, physical site security and best practice policies and procedures to protect those interests.
Ariad makes every reasonable effort to protect against the loss, misuse, and alteration of personal information under our control. Our IT infrastructure security, physical site security and best practices are maintained and enhanced as necessary.
Only authorized employees and business partners have access to your personal information as is deemed necessary to provide you with the products and services you request.
Ariad may disclose your personal information to a government institution that has asserted its lawful authority to obtain the information or if Ariad has reasonable grounds to believe the information could be useful in the investigation into unlawful activity.
Communication
Ariad communicates Privacy Requirements to its employees and relevant business partners and secures a signed statement of understanding and confidentiality from the same.
